Primate Safaris Rwanda has tailored the 8 Days Africa gorilla habituation safari experience visiting all the Gorilla Safari destination starting from Uganda to Rwanda & Democratic republic of Congo for visiting the eastern lowland gorillas in the wilderness of Kahuzi biega national park.
8 Days Uganda , Rwanda and Congo gorilla safari tour starts from entebbe airport Uganda and ends in Kigali Rwanda with the clients flying out on the late night flights on the last day. Visit the lowland gorillas on the East & Central Africa tour by exploring the mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park & Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes national Park, visiting the eastern Lowland gorillas in Kahuzi biega national park while on an ultimate gorilla habituation experience in the wilderness of tropical rain forest with Primate Safaris Rwanda.
Day 1: Picking from Entebbe & transfer to Rushaga Safari Camp.
Upon arrival at the entebbe international airport in Uganda , you will be welcomed by the most experienced tour guide of Primate Safari Experiences and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park located in the south western Uganda which is known as the best destination for gorilla habituation experience.
The Journey is 8-9 hours drive from Kampala the capital city of Uganda and the Guide will stop you at the equator for the practical experience and morning breakfast and later proceed to drive arriving in Bwindi in evening hours. Lunch will be on En route at Agip Motel. Dinner and overnight at Rushaga Safari Camp ( Luxury Tents )
Day 2:Gorilla Habituation experience in Bwindi forest national Park .
As its well known that Gorilla habituation experience is far better than the gorilla trekking as you will start with the gorillas for 4 hours as compared to 1 hour for gorilla trekking. You will wake up very early in the morning and leave to the briefing point about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations. As its well known that Gorilla habituation is only done by 4 paxs per day as per the Uganda wildlife Authority Rules.
you will start to enter into the jungle forest and start the search for the mountain gorillas in the wilderness , once found , you will walk with the gorillas for 4 hours taking photos and watching them play , feeding and learn the way of Life of these apes while in their Territory of Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park.
Later in the evening you will drive and cross to Volcanoes national park Rwanda using the Cyanika Border. Dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 3: Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Parks.
After Morning breakfast , you will assemble at volcanoes national park headquarters for a briefing about the Golden monkey tracking rules which are similar to the mountain gorilla trekking rules , after head to the jungle with the start drive to the hiking point where you start to walk into the wilderness of Volcanoes national park which is the lovely place for the Golden monkey tracking . After you experiencing these primates , the guide will return you to the lodge for relaxation where by in the late evening you will visit the twin lakes in the near by areas of Volcanoes national Park . Dinner and overnight as above .
Day 5 : Transfer to Bukavu Congo.
After morning breakfast, you will take last view of the Great Volcanoes national park Rwanda and jump into the safari jeep to start the drive to cross to Bukavu in democratic republic of Congo .The driver guide will use the route that allows you to view the magic lake Kivu. Lunch will be en-route and later cross the border to Bukavu city using Rusizi Border, incase time allows you will explore the Bukavu city on Boda Boda with an Experienced tour Guide. ( Oldest Church in Africa, Visiting the Embu Cultural Museum & Scenic Drive of Lake Kivu from the Congo side. Dinner and overnight Kahuzi Biega Gorilla Safari lodge.
Day 6 : Eastern Lowland Gorilla Habituation experience.
You will wake up early in the morning and head to the park headquarters to join other clients for briefing about dos and don’ts while with Eastern Lowland gorillas on your habituation experience. After briefing, you will start your trek into the forest guided by researchers and guides. During your trek, you may encounter several birds, other animals and primates in the forest and once you have found the gorillas you will spend four hours with them and return back to the Lodge for overnight.
Day 7: Visiting waterfalls & Chimpanzee Orphanage centre in Lwiro
After morning breakfast , you will drive to lwiro chimpanzee orphanage centre in Kahuzi Biega National Park. Primate Safari Experiences has its doing conservation work towards the protection of the endangered species of the chimpanzees in Lwiro, we do give back to the Lwiro Chimpanzee Sanctuary by offering your visit alongside the donations from the Company profits.
Lwiro find funds to care of these victims of poaching and pet trade.Every dollar counts to make a difference in their life. Without your generosity this project would not be possible! ( make Donation ) . Later in the you will proceed to visit the Waterfalls and later return back to Bukavu town . Dinner and overnight at Orchids Safari Lodge .
Day 8: Transfer back to Kigali for flight back home .
After breakfast in the morning, you will transfer back to Kigali where you will arrive in the evening. The journey from Bukavu to Kigali will enable you to view the Nyungwe forest national park where you may spot some primates along the road as your driving ) Travelers are advised to late night flights or Stay an Extra Night in Kigali Rwanda.
