10-DAY LUXURY KENYA SAFARI

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and transfer to a hotel

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver or hotel representative. After a short briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel in the city. Accommodation: Nairobi Serena Hotel or Hemingways Nairobi

 

Day 2: Nairobi to Meru National Park

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive along Thika Road, passing through Embu as the scenery gradually becomes greener, cooler, and more hilly with increasing altitude, offering beautiful views of the Mount Kenya region and its rich vegetation, you will arrive at Elsa’s Kopje Boutique Safari Lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation before heading out on your first evening game drive in Meru National Park, where you may spot wildlife such as Grevy’s zebras, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, buffalos, as well as reptiles like pythons, puff adders, and cobras, along with a variety of bird species, before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Full day Game Drive in Meru National Park

Spend the day exploring Meru National Park on morning and afternoon game drives, with opportunities to spot a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, Grevy’s zebras, buffalos, and numerous bird species, returning to your lodge for meals and an overnight stay.

 

Day 4: Meru to Samburu

After breakfast in Meru, set off on a scenic drive north to the rugged beauty of Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for a relaxing lunch, then head out for your first game drive in this remote, wildlife-rich region. Samburu is home to the rare “Samburu Special Five” Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Return to Larsen Camp for dinner and a peaceful night under the stars.

 

DAY 5: Full day game drive in Samburu

Today you spend the whole day exploring the wild beauty of Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya, starting with an early morning game drive when animals are most active along the Ewaso Nyiro River. You have a chance to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many antelope species, as well as the unique “Special Five” of Samburu: Grevy’s zebra, giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk, which are rarely found in other parks. After a mid-day break and lunch at your lodge, you go out again for an afternoon game drive, where you may spot predators like lions or cheetahs and wildlife gathering near the river to drink. As the sun sets over the dry, dramatic landscape, you enjoy stunning views and peaceful wildlife moments before returning to Larsen Camp for dinner and a peaceful night under the stars.

 

Day 6: Samburu to Sweet waters

After an early breakfast, you depart from Samburu National Reserve and drive south through changing landscapes, leaving the semi-arid northern region and heading toward central Kenya. Along the way, you may pass local villages, open farmlands, and scenic views of Mount Kenya on a clear day. You arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Sweet waters area) in time for lunch and check-in at your camp or lodge. In the afternoon, you enjoy your first game drive in this famous conservancy, known for its high wildlife density, including elephants, lions, buffalo, and rhinos especially the last remaining northern white rhinos in the world. You may also visit the chimpanzee sanctuary, which offers a rare chance to see rescued chimpanzees in Kenya. As the day ends, you return to your lodge for dinner and relax under the peaceful African night. Accommodation: Sweetwater Tented camp

 

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, you depart and begin your scenic drive toward the Great Rift Valley, passing rolling farmlands, small towns, and viewpoints where you may see stunning landscapes stretching into the distance. You arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park around midday, check in at your lodge, and have lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The park is famous for its rhinos, buffalo, lions, and large flocks of flamingos that often gather along the lake shores, depending on water levels. You also explore acacia woodlands where you may spot giraffes, waterbucks, and baboons. As the sun sets over the lake, you enjoy beautiful views of the Rift Valley escarpment before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight at The Cliff Camp.

 

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast at Lake Nakuru National Park, you depart and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, you head out for your first game drive in the Mara, a vast savannah known for its incredible density of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras depending on the season. As the day ends, you return to your accommodation for dinner and enjoy the sounds of the wild under the African night sky. Dinner and overnight at Ngenche Camp or Entrim Camp.

 

Day 9: Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve

You spend the entire day exploring the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, starting with an early morning game drive when predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs are most active, and you also have high chances of seeing elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and large herds of antelopes across the open savannah. If your timing is right, you may witness the Great Migration River crossings (seasonal), one of the most dramatic wildlife events in Africa. In the afternoon, you continue exploring the vast plains, capturing beautiful landscapes and wildlife interactions, before returning to your camp or lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation under the stars. Ngenche Camp or Entrim Camp.

 

Day 10: Return to Nairobi

After breakfast in the Masai Mara, begin your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic drive through Kenya’s beautiful countryside, arriving in the city by late afternoon. You will be dropped off at either Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
