6 DAYS EXPLORING IN KENYA

Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving north through scenic central Kenya with views of Mount Kenya on a clear day. You arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by a short rest. In the afternoon, you head out for your first game drive in this famous conservancy, known for its high concentration of wildlife including elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and especially rhinos, including the last remaining northern white rhinos. You may also visit the chimpanzee sanctuary, which offers a rare chance to see rescued chimpanzees in Kenya. As the sun sets over the open plains, you return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy

You spend a full day exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy, starting with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active and predators like lions and hyenas are still on the move. After breakfast, you continue searching for rhinos, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and many antelope species across the vast plains, with a special focus on the conservancy’s strong rhino protection program. You may also visit the Sweet waters Chimpanzee Sanctuary to learn about rescued chimpanzees and their rehabilitation. In the afternoon, you enjoy another game drive or relax at your lodge overlooking waterholes where animals often gather to drink. As the day ends, you return for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the African wilderness.

 

Day 3: Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha

After an early breakfast at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, you check out and begin your journey south through Kenya’s scenic central highlands, passing tea and coffee plantations, rolling hills, and beautiful countryside views along the way. You arrive at Lake Naivasha around midday, check in at your lodge, and have lunch before enjoying a relaxing afternoon. You can take a boat ride on the lake to see hippos and a variety of bird species such as fish eagles, cormorants, and herons, or visit Crescent Island for a walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a peaceful, open setting. The day ends with a calm evening at your lodge, enjoying the fresh Rift Valley atmosphere before dinner and overnight stay. Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Sawela lodge Naivasha

 

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara

After breakfast at Lake Naivasha, you depart and drive through the Great Rift Valley with scenic viewpoints and Maasai villages along the route as you head toward the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. You arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp and enjoy a short rest before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The Mara welcomes you with vast golden savannahs and rich wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and predators such as lions and cheetahs that may be spotted in the open plains. As the sun sets over the endless landscape, you return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve

You spend a full day exploring the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, starting with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs are often on the move. After breakfast, you continue your safari across different sections of the reserve, tracking large herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and antelopes across the endless savannah plains. You may also visit the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles are commonly seen, and if the season is right, you could witness parts of the Great Migration. In the afternoon, you continue game viewing or return to the lodge for rest before heading out again for a sunset drive, ending the day with beautiful views and dinner at Ngenche Camp or Entrim Camp.

 

Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a game drive en route as you exit the Masai Mara. Continue your scenic journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Depending on your schedule, you will be dropped off at the airport for your onward flight.
