7 Days Kenya Luxury Safari- Kenya Wildlife Watching with Primate Safaris
Day 1: Nairobi/Masai Mara
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley with beautiful viewpoints along the way. You arrive at the famous Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by a short rest. In the afternoon, you enjoy your first game drive across the vast savannah, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and possibly predators like lions or cheetahs as they begin to become active in the cooler hours. The golden sunset over the plains offers stunning photography moments before you return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation: Ngenche Camp or Entrim Camp.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
You spend a full day exploring the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, starting with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs are often on the move. After breakfast, you continue your safari across different sections of the reserve, tracking large herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and antelopes across the endless savannah plains. You may also visit the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles are commonly seen, and if the season is right, you could witness parts of the Great Migration. In the afternoon, you continue game viewing or return to the lodge for rest before heading out again for a sunset drive, ending the day with beautiful views and dinner at Ngenche Camp or Entrim Camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After an early breakfast at the Masai Mara National Reserve, you check out and begin your journey toward the Great Rift Valley, enjoying scenic views of rolling hills, farmlands, and small towns along the way. You arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park around midday, check in at your lodge, and have lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The park is well known for its rhinos, buffalo, lions, giraffes, and waterbucks, and you may also see flamingos along the lake shores depending on water levels. You explore the acacia woodlands and open grasslands while enjoying views of the lake and surrounding escarpments, then return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. Day 4: Lake Naivasha National Park
After breakfast at Lake Nakuru National Park, you drive to the beautiful Great Rift Valley destination of Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, you enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the lake where you can see hippos in the water and a variety of bird species such as fish eagles, herons, and kingfishers. You may also visit nearby attractions like Crescent Island for a walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a safe, open environment. The day is more relaxed compared to game drives, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful scenery and fresh air of the Rift Valley before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day 5: Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast at Lake Naivasha, you depart and drive south through scenic landscapes and Maasai land as you head toward the famous Amboseli National Park. Arriving late afternoon at the lodge or camp: Accommodation: Tortilis Tented camp
Day 6: Amboseli National Park
You spend a full day exploring the iconic Amboseli National Park, starting with an early morning game drive when the views of Mount Kilimanjaro are often clearest and wildlife is most active. You track large elephant herds moving across the plains, along with lions, cheetahs, buffalo, hyenas, giraffes, and many bird species around the wetlands and swamps fed by underground springs. After breakfast, you continue with more game viewing across different habitats, from dry lake beds to green marshes, giving you varied wildlife sightings throughout the day. In the afternoon, you enjoy another game drive or relax at your lodge before heading out for a final sunset safari, ending the day with breathtaking views of elephants silhouetted against Kilimanjaro before returning for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
After breakfast, have a morning game drive. Depart to Nairobi arriving at about 5:00 pm, including lunch en route. Transfer to the airport.
