An owner managed company, Primate Safaris was founded 6 years ago by Joseph Birori and John Kayihura upon their return from a long political exile in Kenya. They are highly experienced, multi-lingual tour operators with a combined of over 30 years in Eastern Africa. Primate Safaris and other stakeholders are involved in the promotion of eco-tourism activities to help develop revenue for local, national and regional economies after so many years of turmoil. They now have a full time work force of 14 employees including 5 professional driver-guides and 2 Gorilla trackers all backed by a sizeable fleet of specially converted 4x4 jeeps.
